And The Winner Is...

(The Top 10 Most-Watched Quilt With Kim Videos 2025)

Right then. I have something to confess.

It is June 2026. The newly Annual Quilt With Kim Video Awards for 2025 are approximately six months late 🫣

I have absolutely no excuses. Only an ever-growing to-do list, a teaching diary that has had strong opinions of its own, and an errant cat who considers laptop keyboards to be a perfectly reasonable place to sit.

But I digress. Better late than never I say, and besides, good things are worth waiting for. (Much like finding the end of a brand new reel of Gutermann thread. Which, funnily enough, features in this very list. But we'll get to that.)

So, without further ado, I am delighted to roll out the slightly crumpled, but still very glamorous, red carpet and announce: the second annual Quilt With Kim Video Awards are officially OPEN!

These results come directly from YouTube. These are the videos YOU watched the most in 2025: no tricks, no editorial bias, just pure viewing numbers. Which video will take the top spot? Read on to find out - and absolutely NO skipping to the end!

I'm watching you...👀

I know you're tempted. Just don't.

A group of six envelopes on a white surface, five are gold and one is red, with the red envelope positioned prominently in the center.

In 10TH PLACE - A returning champion!

This video made the top ten in 2024, and with 4,376 views in 2025, it has clearly earned its place on the list for a second year running.

If you've ever stared at a pattern that cheerfully calls for "fusible interfacing" OR "fusible fleece" and wondered whether the two are interchangeable this video is exactly what you need.

A very worthy tenth place. Welcome back.

9TH PLACE

Quarter Square Triangles: the slightly trickier younger sibling of the Half Square Triangle. A bit more attitude. Somewhat higher ambitions.

But with 4,644 views in 2025, clearly plenty of you were ready to take them on, and this full tutorial shows you how to make four at a time without the accompanying headache.

A very well-deserved ninth place.

IN 8TH PLACE

There is nothing quite like the sinking feeling of turning your work over to admire your stitching, and finding instead an absolute bird's nest of thread on the back. Cue the invention of new swear words (yes, I hear you!).

With 5,390 views, this video on finding the cure for all that bunching and looping clearly struck a nerve in 2025. A new entry this year, and thoroughly deserved.

7TH PLACE

The first machine review to ever make the Quilt With Kim top ten! With 5,407 views, a lot of you were clearly doing your homework before committing to - or perhaps just after having committed to 👀 - the Brother A150.

Spoiler alert: I am rather keen on it. But don't take my word for it.

Watch the video. I am thorough.

IN 6TH PLACE

This one made the top ten in 2024, where it sat in fourth place. It dropped a couple of spots to sixth in 2025, but with 10,074 views, it is clearly still one of the questions that beginners urgently need answered. Because... what IS the difference between stitch length and stitch width?

They sound similar. They are not the same.

And after this video, you can stop twiddling ALL the knobs and dials, and will absolutely know the difference.

Interval....

Four glasses of sparkling pink cocktail, each garnished with a sprig of thyme and a raspberry. The drinks are bubbly and served in champagne flutes.
We've made it to the halfway point, which means it is time to refresh your glasses, stretch your legs, and go for a quick loo break before we get to the TOP FIVE.

Off you go.

I'll wait.

Refreshed and ready?

Let's move on to the second half...

5TH PLACE

The walking foot demo has been quietly earning its reputation on my channel for a while now and in 2025, with 10,604 views, it walked (smoothly and evenly, exactly as advertised) straight into fifth place. If you've been wondering what a walking foot actually does, whether you need one, and what on earth all the fuss is about - this is the place to find out.

Short answer: yes, you probably do need one. Long answer: watch the video.

4TH PLACE goes to....

Brand new to the awards in 2025, and WHAT an entrance!

With 12,660 views, the Great Thread Showdown clearly struck a chord. It is the question that launches a thousand opinions in every quilting group on the internet: which thread is actually the best?

I put three of the biggest names in quilting thread head to head so you don't have to argue about it yourselves.

You're welcome.

And we're now down to the TOP THREE!

In THIRD PLACE - for the second year in a row - with 13,052 views:

The little video that simply will not stop.

It was third in 2024. It is third in 2025. At this point, it has more consistency than my sewing room tidying schedule (which, to be honest, is not difficult).

If you have ever spent a frustrating five minutes unravelling a brand new reel of Gutermann thread looking for the flipping start of it - and we have ALL been there - this short video will genuinely change your life.

Yes, I know that sounds dramatic. Watch it, and then report back.

In SECOND PLACE with an incredible 22,914 views:

Ah. Our reigning champion from 2024. Last year, this video stormed home in first place with over 26,700 views. This year, it has been very narrowly pipped at the post: a gap of just 107 views separates second from first.

107 views! That is astonishingly close!

With 22,914 views in 2025 and more comments than any other video on my channel, this is still an absolutely incredible result. The sewing machine unthreading problem is clearly one that haunts quilters everywhere, and it will continue to haunt this top ten for years to come, I suspect.

But.....someone has taken the crown.

Could you guess who?

In the Quilt With Kim Video Awards for 2025...

...drumroll, please 🎉...
A young boy smiles while playing a drum set in front of a bright yellow wall. He holds drumsticks in both hands, appearing joyful and engaged in making music. A colorful logo is in the bottom right corner.

...with 23,021 views in 2025, having made an absolutely meteoric rise from second place in the 2024 awards...

FIRST PLACE GOES TO:

YES! 🙌

If you were here for the 2024 awards, you might remember that this video debuted in second place after just a few months on my channel, and I did wonder whether it might be trying for the top spot in 2025.

Well. Here we are.

From brand-new entry to reigning champion in twelve months. An utterly brilliant result for what is, in my humble opinion, one of the loveliest videos on the channel. Hand piecing is patient, portable, and deeply satisfying, and 23,021 of you clearly agreed.

Congratulations to Hand Piecing. A thoroughly well deserved first place. 🎉

And that is a wrap on the second annual Quilt With Kim Video Awards - brought to you approximately six months late, but with no less love and enthusiasm!

Thank you - genuinely, from the bottom of my slightly-thread-covered heart - for making 2025 another wonderful year on the channel 💗.

I work hard to bring you answers to your questions, so whether you were troubleshooting your machine at midnight, comparing thread brands over a cup of tea, or finally, bravely, tackling those quarter square triangles - you were here. And that means everything to me. 🥹

So: which video was your favourite this year? Let me know on Facebook, Instagram or on YouTube!

And if any of these videos sent you back down a quilting rabbit hole you weren't expecting...

...Sorry.

Actually, not sorry.

Here's to a creative, quilt-filled rest of 2026.

Kim xx
